Now that we are in the month of July, hopefully you have had the chance to spend a few days at your favorite local beach, or even taken a beach vacation with family and friends! If you are in the Rhode Island and Southeastern part of Massachusetts, whether you live there or are visiting, there are so many beaches that are a must-see and are perfect to spend a hot summer day at! Check out some of our favorite beaches in the area that you should add to your summer bucket list:
Goosewing Beach, Little Compton, Rhode Island. If you are in the mood to sit back and relax with some stunning views, Goosewing Beach is perfect for you. This beach is a great quiet and serene place with beautiful ocean views and even some campfires at night! Little Compton is a great place to visit if you have never been (and has some wonderful winerys for post-beach!)
Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island. For family and friend days, especially with a younger crowd, Misquamicut Beach is the perfect day-trip destination. This 7-mile long beach has huge, fun waves and is located right by bumper boats and batting cages, if you are looking to make a full day out of it. It is a great time and is in a great area!
Gooseberry Beach in Newport, Rhode Island. Gooseberry Beach is arguably one of the most gorgeous beaches in all of Rhode Island. Step your feet onto this sand and you will immediately feel like you are on a tropical getaway! At this beach, enjoy calm waters and white sand, sit back with a refreshing drink and relax!
Plymouth Long Beach, Plymouth, Massachusetts. In Southeastern Massachusetts, enjoy Plymouth Long Beach, which is one of Plymouth’s most popular beaches. This beach runs for three miles and has a lot of wild life and sea birds. Plymouth also has delicious restaurants, fun bars and lots of beautiful views!
