We are heading into warmer weather and sweet, sweet summertime! Now that the weather is nicer and people are itching to do more activities outside to enjoy it, there is one thing that comes to mind: food truck season! Food truck festivals are an awesome way to spend time with friends and family, try out delicious new foods that you have never had before, and appreciate and support local businesses within your area. Not to mention, most food truck festivals will feature other activities as well for people of all ages. Check out some of the food truck events coming up in the Rhode Island area, and mark your calendars!
- June 7: Food Truck Friday at Carousel Village. Located in Providence, Rhode Island from 5:00-8:30 PM, the 5th season of Food Truck Friday will begin at Carousel Village and the Roger Williams Park Zoo! This event will feature some of the most delicious and popular food trucks in Rhode Island, with over 15 being locally owned! The event will also feature local beer from Trinity Brewhouse, which you can enjoy while listening to live music. If you are planning to bring along the kids, they can look forward to a carousel train, camel rides and a playground!
- June 13: Food Truck Night at Sons of Liberty. Located in South Kingstown, Rhode Island from 5:00-8:00 PM, this event will take place at Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co.! This event was recently named Whisky Magazine’s American Craft Producer of the Year! To enter the tasting room, you must be 21+ after 5:00 PM. However, if you have younger children or are not interested in participating in the tasting, you can hang by the food trucks outside – with pets allowed! There will also be live entertainment.
- June 29: Mulligan’s Island Food Truck Night. Located in Cranston, Rhode Island, here you can enjoy 20 local food trucks, play a round or two of mini golf, check out some batting cages or sit back on the lawn and enjoy live entertainment! Mulligan’s Island Golf & Entertainment will be providing beer and wine for those 21 and over.
